UPDATE: Seth Rollins has been pulled off the Night of Champions match card too. No replacement for Roman Reigns has been announced. Can we hope for a surprise appearance though?
WWE superstar Roman Reigns has undergone a surgery in Nashville, Tennessee after he was rushed to a local hospital suffering from severe pain, due to incarcerated hernia.
The WWE have announced on tweeter that Reigns will not be able to compete at Night of Champions.
Although an update on his replacement for the match against Seth Rollins was promised, none has been given yet.
Everyone’s first pick would be Dean Ambrose but if that’s the case, his return will be a surprise. The way I’d turn it storyline-wise would be for Rollins to come out and claim responsibility for Reigns’ injury. Then he’d follow by saying that he has finally destroyed the Shield and he is the last man standing. And this would be Ambrose’s cue to storm in and steal the show with Rollins.
This will be the most intriguing match of the night (if it occurs at all…There’s always a minimal chance Rollins won’t have an opponent).
Again, it’s a shame Reigns is out. The WWE Comment Section wishes him fast recovery!
