The Usos vs. Gold & Stardust w./Los Matadores, Miz&Mizdow on commentary
As you can imagine, the attention in this match was dominated mostly by the action on the commentary table. Cole was taking selfies with El Torrito. Miz and Los Matadores were arguing over the correct use of Spanish. It got to the point where the Miz was the one person on the announce table, who was actually trying to bring the attention back to the match.
In the ring, the Usos and the Cosmic Brothers had an average match. It was good but not on the same level as some of their previous face-offs.
I noticed a change in Gold & Stardust’s tactics. They resort much more to the run away and pull back strategy, trying to get a cheap shot here and there. This is a sign that they are getting less dominant as champions. I expect them to drop the titles on Sunday.
The Usos came on top as well. It was a fast-paced ending as usual and involved interventions from all four men. Jimmy landed a top-rope splash on Stardust and got the pin.
I’m convinced that Miz and Mizdow will get the gold this Sunday. They have a storyline ready to develop. They are the most interesting tag team at the moment and will benefit from the titles the most. What do you think?
Paige vs. Alicia Fox
It’s sad. In the Divas Division there can only be one storyline and it’s not even that well developed. Also, Paige and Alicia Fox are not in it so the commentators couldn’t care less about their match.
Paige was on top throughout the match. However, in the end, she did the Paige crawl exceptionally slowly, got herself some whistling but gave Alicia the opportunity to reverse and Foxy picked a quick victory.
Adam Rose and The Bunny Backstage
My only comment for this segment is “this escalated quickly”. Adam Rose started from saying that the Bunny has a problem because he wants to hump everything and anything, and then went onto claiming that he’s God because he saved all of the Rosebuds.
That was unexpected.
Adam Rose & The Bunny vs. Tyson Kidd & Natalya
Adam Rose was reluctant to fight. Tyson Kidd, on the other hand, was eager to get his hands on Rose and show off dominance, so the match wasn’t going well for the newly proclaimed deity – Adam Rose.
When the Bunny tagged in, he was doing quite well but soon fell victim to the Sharp Shooter. Adam Rose could have helped him but refused and left the Bunny to suffer.
After the match, Natalya was concerned about the Bunny and Tyson Kidd responded by kicking the Bunny in the face.
Two things to take away from this match. First, Adam Rose is going insane with his “I’m a God” proclamations. And second, please DON’T MAKE NATALYA FALL FOR THE BUNNY! Oh, the horror!
Bray Wyatt Promo
Bray Wyatt was the second person on Main Event to refer to himself as a God. He was also offended by Ambrose’s actions on RAW. The Eater of Worlds didn’t take well being mocked.
He promised to sacrifice Jack Swagger as a gift to Dean Ambrose.
Bray Wyatt vs. Jack Swagger
First of all, why Swagger? Wasn’t he written off Team Cena because of an injury due to Seth Rollins’ curb stomps? It would have made much more sense to keep him off TV until after Survivor Series. Because if Swagger is well enough to compete on Main Event, he’s well enough to compete at Survivor Series and not being on Cena’s team feel odd.
Apart from the plot hole he was thrown in, Swagger did a good job in the match. He was surprisingly successful. The Real American hit the Swagger Bomb and locked the Patriot Lock. However, Bray Wyatt managed to get away from both and hit Sister Abigail for the win.
It’s ironic but I think Ambrose is getting to Wyatt now. The Eater of worlds didn’t plan for that to happen.
