The NXT environmentally friendly superstar CJ Parker has parted ways with the company after wrestling his last few matches as a WWE employee at the WrestleMania 31 AXXESS.
CJ Parker signed a developmental deal with the WWE in 2011. According to PWInsider.com, Parker wasn’t fired. He asked to be released from his contract.
He addressed the situation on his Twitter account earlier today:
This news doesn’t come as a surprise. CJ Parker hasn’t been doing greatly on NXT. Before FCW got rebranded, CJ was a two times Tag Team Champion. After the switch to NXT he got lost in the shuffle and was mostly used as jobber.
Looking back at the last 6 months, I can remember him being squashed by Baron Corbin, Kevin Owens, Solomon Crowe, Adrian Neville, MoJo Rawley, Cesaro, the Miz and even the Great Khali. I’m sure if I dig deeper, I’ll find more names. To counter this impressive losing streak, Parker has a win over Tye Dillinger and a couple more against Xavier Woods. As you can see, the statistics aren’t in CJ’s favour.
Hopefully, leaving the WWE will give him the opportunities he dreams of. Good luck!
