Enzo Amore, Big Cass & Carmella def. Blake, Murphy & Alexa Bliss
Enzo and Blake seemed to be competing for the weirdest hairstyle out there. Male braided pony tails vs. whatever Enzo has on his head. This is seriously distracting.
At least in this feud, the animosity feels real. The intensity that the Certified Gs create makes the match. The champs do their part by fueling the feeling of resentment between them with their obnoxious behavior. The match quickly turned into a school backyard fight.
In the end of the day, Carmella used Alexa Bliss against the champs. That was to be expected. She’s the factor that decided their victories the last few times. It’s early but at one point there will be a friction between the champs and Bliss. Once they lose the titles, they’ll blame it on her.
Interesting point of view. According to Samoa Joe, Keivn Owens’ manner of approaching his enemies with intimidation is a sign of cowardice. He thinks Owens is hiding behind an image to push away potential challengers. If it wasn’t for the way Owens manhandles his opponents, this logic would have been perfectly sound.
Charlotte def. Cassie
A debut match against Charlotte guarantees either a loss or a mega push win. Cassie went through the more viable first option. Charlotte had fun, enjoyed the crowd’s reactions and showed off pure dominance.
Cassie, on the other hand, demonstrated her skills. She seems to be a bit slow and over cautions but it could be nerves. Otherwise, the length of her legs is impressive. She reminds me of Summer Rae.
This girl is so bad on the mic. Her promos are not only scripted and learnt by heart, but also fake. She can’t sell them at all. Also, Dana Brooke, trying to threaten Charlotte? Hahahaha, Charlotte can outwrestle this girl in her sleep.
Kevin Owens vs. Samoa Joe (No Contest)
Now this was a match worth waiting for. Kevin Owens rolled out of the ring and Samoa Joe followed right after. Owens shrugged it off and changed into a full-on fight. The entire match followed that pattern. Kevin Owens would try something that he usually does, Samoa Joe wouldn’t budge and Owens would up his game.
The champ seemed to be overwhelmed but wasn’t going to back away. It felt as if I was watching two army tanks trying to run each other over.
The fight got out of control and the ref had to stop the match but Joe and Owens had no intention of stopping the brawl. For once the “20 officials can’t hold them back” part looked believable. I got the impression that had these two been left to their won, they would have killed each other. Marvelous!
