WWE NXT – Review, Highlights and Analysis From 30/09/2015

Finn Balor & Samoa Joe def. Big Cass & Enzo Amore

The match had its good spots. Enzo and Balor got me hyped early on when they both dived through the ropes to help their respective partners.

Once the temperature had risen already, Big Cass pulled off some impressive offense. He’s such a destructive force on his own.

Regardless of how well Cass and Enzo did, Balor and Joe won. I can see where this is going and it’s the wrong direction. A tag team classic should be won by a real tag team. It should be about promoting the tag team division. Why is then the final full of big names, put together just for the occasion, when there are plenty of capable teams on the roster?

Apollo Crews def. Johnny Gargano

This match reminded me why I like watching NXT. It was innovative, fast and entertaining. The wrestling was of the highest quality. The NXT’s top new recruits showed their value.

However, this was a question of putting one of the two over and Crews happened to be the happy chosen one. My personal preference leans towards Gargano because his style is unique. You won’t see what he does anywhere else but what matters here is the WWE’s favorite and it’s Crews.

Dana Brooke & Emma def. Billy Kay & Peyton Royce

When you put two relatively new divas together, dress them in similar clothes, knowing they look alike, you’re intentionally making them undistinguishable, thus creating the Los Matadores effect. Hence, you should also expect the Los Matadores level of popularity and success.

Expectedly, Dana and Emma won. They need some momentum before Asuka squashes Dana at Takeover.

Tyler Breeeze def. Tommaso Ciampa

When this match started I wasn’t sure which way it would go. However, the commentary was entirely based on Tyler Breeze overcoming his losing streak, which led me to believe that he’d win in the end.

Prince Pretty did come on top in the end and it was about time. As much as like Ciampa, Breeze needs this victory more. He’s been constantly degraded the last few months, in order to push others. It’s time for the Gorgeous One to get back in the game.

Countdown to Iron Man Match

The video package was incredibly well done and if that didn’t get you hyped for the match, nothing will.

However, I don’t understand why this had to close the show. Couldn’t it have been aired during the show? I think a match deserved to be the main event.
